North Cast is a U.S.-based trading company specializing in the sourcing and supply of engineered steel and brass castings, heat-treated, machined, and inspected by our certified manufacturing partners. We supply cast and machined components (valve bodies, pump housings and impellers, wear parts, and structural castings) to industrial customers across the United States.

What materials does North Cast offer?

We supply steel castings in carbon, low-alloy, stainless, and heat-resistant grades, and copper alloy castings including red brass, lead-free brass, copper-tin, and copper-silicon. Custom alloy requirements can be reviewed by our engineering team through the RFQ process.

What size range of castings is available?

Accepted Answer

Steel castings range from about 33 to 660 lbs depending on alloy and geometry. Brass castings range from about 0.4 to 18 lbs, and closed-die brass forging is available in the 0.4–2.9 lbs range. Specific weight limits and tolerances depend on the alloy and application, so submit your specs through our RFQ form for a project-specific review.

Does North Cast offer machined parts?

Yes. Components can be delivered fully CNC-machined to your drawing (turning, milling, and finishing to tight dimensional tolerances), so you receive parts ready for assembly rather than raw castings.

What industries does North Cast serve?

Accepted Answer

North Cast serves ten industries, all to the same standard. Two are growth markets, one on each material: cement on the steel side, with heat-resistant castings such as clinker cooler grates and refractory liners for U.S. cement plants, and faucets and fittings on the brass side. The rest are construction, mining, energy (oil and gas, dredging, petrochemical), the electrical industry, industrial valves and pumps, rail transport, medical equipment, and agriculture.

Yes. Products are supplied through ISO 9001:2015-certified manufacturing processes and produced to ASTM and AISI standards, including pressure-rated components such as valve bodies.

North Cast supplies industrial customers across the United States. Orders ship in North Cast's name, on a U.S. purchase order. Freight and delivery terms are agreed order by order and confirmed on the quotation, so they can follow whatever routing and carrier arrangements you already have in place.
